Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells Over Platelet Rich Fibrin Scaffold for Mandibular Cartilage Defects Regenerative Medicine

چکیده

Objective: To evaluate the regeneration of mandibular cartilage defect after implantation human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSC) over platelet rich fibrin (PRF) as scaffold. Material and Methods: 20 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four experimental groups consisting of: a control group featuring untreated defects (C), whose implanted with hUCMSC (E1), PRF (E2), scaffold (E3). The subjects sacrificed six weeks observation for immunohistochemical examination in order to expression Ki67, Sox9, FGF 18, type 2 collagen, aggrecan, addition histology chondrocyte number thickness. Data was analyzed univariate analysis (ANOVA). Results: proved capable regenerating through chondrosis counts, significantly higher E3. Conclusion: Human defect.

Reconstructionof Human Mandibular Continuity Defects with Allogenic Scaffold and Autologousmarrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Background Mandibular continuity defects occur after tumor resection, maxillofacial injury, or osteomyelitis. Despite the current availability of a plethora of treatment modalities, bone substitutes, and various clinical adjuncts, an exact reconstructive recapitulation of large bony defects continues to be beyond reach. In this clinical pilot study, we report a novel method for reconstruction ...

In-vitro Differentiation of Human Umbilical Cord Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Insulin-Producing Cells

Background & Objective: Diabetes is a major chronic metabolic disease in the world. Islet transplantation is a way to treat diabetes. Unfortunately, this method is restricted due to graft rejection and lack of donor islets. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCS) have the ability to differentiate into Insulin-Producing Cells (IPCs). In this study, Human Umbilical Mesenchymal Stem Cells (HUMSCS) were in...

Platelet-derived Microparticles increase the Expression of hTERT Gene in Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells have been widely considered in clinical researches because of their self-renewality and differentiation into various tissues. Nevertheless, their limited in vitro life span, which occurs only after several divisions, makes some changes in these cells, which affects all of their characteristics and remarkably reduces their application. In this study, the effect...

Application of Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine

CONTENT: Much has been learned in a relatively short time on the properties of UCB hematopoietic progenitors and their clinical application. More interestingly, non-hematopoietic stem cells have been isolated from UCB. These cells can be grown and differentiated into various tissues including bone, cartilage, liver, pancreas, nerve, muscle and so on. The non-hematopoietic stem cells have an adv...
